Dear members of the Marian Movement of Priests,
The Holy Father, Pope Francis, announced that on March 25 he will make a special consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and he will send one Cardinal to Fatima to represent him and make the consecration on his behalf, so that the journey of the Church and of humanity, with particular reference to those peoples, may be protected in Her Immaculate Heart at this very particular moment.
Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, many throughout the Church and at all levels have wished with all their hearts for the Pope to make this gesture. Many of you have also expressed this desire and prayed for the Pope to make this gesture. On this occasion we see more than ever how the Petrine ministry is the voice of the Church and acts in Her name.
Certainly, this consecration does not replace but adds to those already carried out by the Popes in the past, especially that by St. John Paul II on March 25, 1984. Right on that day, Our Lady left us a beautiful message on the reality of the consecration to Her Immaculate Heart. Fr. Stefano Gobbi wanted to put in the book of messages “To the Priests Our Lady’s Beloved Sons” the consecration prayer that Saint John Paul II used that day, so that we could meditate on it and also use it for personal prayer.
With this consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that will be made in Rome and Fatima, we cannot fail to see also how the Church, through the Pope, underlines the need to live the message that Our Lady left in Fatima for our time (which was completed in Pontevedra and Tuy). This message was once again explained by Our Lady herself to Don Stefano Gobbi. We cannot do without it.
I ask you that on March 25, the marvelous solemnity of the Annunciation and the Incarnation, we will gather in Cenacles – each in his parish or in their houses – in union with the Holy Father and with the act of consecration, to unite the Petrine work with the work of the MMP that Our Lady has entrusted to us and to our cenacles. I also suggest that you prepare the special consecration of March 25 at least with a Triduum of Cenacles, from March 22 to 24.
May our Immaculate Mother welcome our cenacles and our personal consecration to Her Immaculate Heart, give us the grace to live it ever better and to be in the Church that presence of prayer, offering, reparation and fidelity that she desires.

Queridos miembros del Movimiento Sacerdotal Mariano,
El Santo Padre Francisco, anunció que el próximo 25 de marzo hará una consagración especial de Rusia y Ucrania al Inmaculado Corazón de María, y enviará un cardenal delegado a Fátima para hacerlo en su nombre, y así el camino de la Iglesia y de la humanidad, con especial referencia a esos pueblos, pueda ser protegido en Su Inmaculado Corazón en este momento tan particular.
Desde el comienzo del conflicto en Ucrania, muchos en toda la Iglesia y a todos los niveles han deseado con todo su corazón que el Papa haga este gesto. Muchos de ustedes también han expresado este deseo y han rezado para que el Papa hiciera este gesto. En esta ocasión vemos más que nunca cómo el ministerio petrino es la voz de la Iglesia y actúa en su nombre.
Ciertamente, esta consagración no sustituye, sino que se suma a las ya realizadas por los Pontífices en el pasado, especialmente la de San Juan Pablo II el 25 de marzo de 1984. Precisamente ese día nuestra Señora nos dejó un hermoso mensaje sobre la realidad de la consagración a Su Inmaculado Corazón. El P. Stefano Gobbi quiso traer de vuelta en el Libro de mensajes “A los sacerdotes amados hijos de Nuestra Señora” la oración de consagración que San Juan Pablo II usó ese día, para que pudiéramos meditar en ella y también usarla para la oración personal.
Con esta consagración de Rusia y Ucrania al Inmaculado Corazón de María que se hará en Roma y Fátima, no podemos dejar de ver también cómo la Iglesia, a través del Papa, enfatiza la necesidad de vivir el mensaje que Nuestra Señora dejó en Fátima para nuestro tiempo (completándolo en Pontevedra y Tuy). Este mensaje fue explicado de nuevo por la propia Virgen al P. Stefano Gobbi. No podemos prescindir de ella.
Les pido que el próximo 25 de marzo, solemnidad maravillosa de la Anunciación y de la Encarnación, nos reunamos en el Cenáculo -cada uno en su parroquia o en sus casas- en unión con el Santo Padre y el acto de consagración, para unir a su obra petrina la obra del MSM que la Virgen nos ha confiado a nosotros y a nuestros cenáculos. También les sugiero que preparen la consagración especial del 25 de marzo al menos con un Triduo de cenáculos, del 22 al 24 de marzo.
Que nuestra Madre Inmaculada acoja nuestros Cenáculos y nuestra consagración personal a Su Inmaculado Corazón, nos dé la gracia de vivirla cada vez mejor y de ser en la Iglesia esa presencia de oración, ofrenda, reparación y fidelidad que ella desea.
